Alireza Marandi
Professor Marandi’s research focuses on fundamental and enabling advances in nonlinear photonics, spanning ultrafast optics, optical frequency combs, quantum optics, optical information processing, mid-infrared photonics, and laser spectroscopy. His group develops novel nonlinear photonic devices, circuits, and integrated systems for applications ranging from sensing to unconventional computing and information processing, while also advancing the underlying theoretical framework governing these systems.
