The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding. Black Panther premiers on February 16th, Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th, and Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in theaters on July 6, 2018.

Fans are anxiously anticipating Ant-Man and the Wasp; here are just a few of the reasons why (from Comicbook.com) :

  1. This is the first Marvel Studios film that includes a female superhero in the title
  2. The Ant-Man and Wasp costumes have been updated to include references to their insect inspiration; photos of the newly updated costumes appear in the post
  3. The film further explores the quantum realm, introduced in the first Ant-Man film. IQIM’s Spiros Michalakis is a scientific advisor for Marvel films.

The film will also thoroughly explore the quantum realm introduced in the original Ant-Man film. “This is exciting for the future,” quantum physicist and staff researcher at the California Institute of Technology Dr. Spiros Michalakis said, having advised the science behind Marvel films. “There are different ways that some of these ideas appear on-screen in a few years. Not just for Ant-Man, but also for Captain Marvel and all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
